One of the most exciting jobs today most especially for women is to become a travel agent. If your goal is to be come travel agent someday, you would need to be familiar with a country’s culture and important landmarks. Though the main responsibility of these people are to give the best travel packages whether business or personal matter to their customers.

Most of these travel agents cater a huge number of customers they often work in a call centre environment or a travel agency. So pretty much they work heavily relies on their communication and selling skills. To find a suitable package holiday for a person or two is definitely not an easy task especially when a customer has a list of his/her own itineraries or things to do.

A travel agent should ensure that a telephone or computer is present in the hotel room. This is one of the things that a customer will normally ask. So you need to be prepared when they ask you. To become a travel agent is one of the best jobs in town. You can earn a starting salary of 10,000 pounds a year. If your skills are above average, you can become a branch manager or perhaps a CEO.

There are many travel agencies in the UK and per year the demand for a new set of workforce is always on demand so these only means there are lot of opportunities for you to grow and build your career. But before you could even become a travel agent, you need to have a course and be affiliated with the ACTP (Accredited Travel Professional Scheme).
